For the "2 sentence stories" contest.

My love, my love, what a bitter end Fate has woven for us.
Cruel she must be to force my hand into yours now lifeless.

This is amazingly detailed, and creates great imagery in the readers mind; the use of an older style of speaking highlights what the character is saying, and it has a good rhythm to it (though I’m not sure if it's there on purpose). Good luck in the contest, and, despite that I also entered the contest, I hope that you are one of the winners rather than me, since this is a beautiful little two sentence story.
