Evil Twin

Evil Twin

A Poem by Danielle Searby

Destiny unfolded and I watched you slip away.

After 24 hours of prayer you came down from the ceiling.

You are my bones- you hold me erect.

My gag reflex begins while I waste you until you're thin.

Chronic regurgitation of your essence.

I want to feel my stomach scream.

Cripple me with your nourishment.

You hold me at my core.

I always gaze into the eyes of my abuser.

You walk the same footsteps as me.

I stand face to face with myself.
