Your Own Blues

Your Own Blues

A Poem by Danielle Thilette
"

Not a definite Title..I may change it as soon as something better comes to me.

"

You enjoy your own blues

You don't care who you use,

But you will loose me.

Insidiously, twisting and binding me

In your web of illusion.

My melodies intrusion speaks to be freed.

These years have taught me.

These tears have saturated my trust

Sill I love you so much.

I was in such a rush

To be all grown up.

Yes, I’ve grown wiser.

Like my mother I’m a fighter.

But like a fiend and you’re my supplier

I cling tighter.

You enjoy your own blues.

You would die if you were to loose me.

The truth is… I would die if you didn’t choose me.

I need you like a bird needs wings,

because without them they’re just

walking through the madness of things
