The Curse of a Madman

The Curse of a Madman

A Poem by DannyBoy300
"

A poem of Edgar Allan Poe describing what happenend that could've inspired him to write the way he did. Most of the facts were from the article "The Tell-Tale Poe" and the timeline of the events.

"
The Curse of a Madman
While I pondered over a volume of curious lore
I noticed a man with a troubled life
The thoughts of sorrow his mind did outpour
And it started with the death of his mother
And the darkness ended, nevermore
Only young but abandoned again
Later marrying family and friend
Feeling the power of Death’s sting
Taking his brother and wife with a ring
Tuberculosis, such a dirty thing
Writing thoughts of a troubled mind
Giving it line, tune, and rhyme
It is amazing how death’s hold,
Can make a man’s heart turn cold
