The Fraying

The Fraying

A Poem by Dani
"

A fun little diddy about insanity...yeah

"

Running through the dark, life without a spark
Stumbling and falling, unseen voices calling.
The darting, of a black lark
I, in the rain am bawling.

Mocking voices, merciless cries
Sneers and jeers, in the darkness
No one cares, as my sanity dies
Why are they, so heartless?

I’m  not, out of the woods yet
There’s, no I in love
trapped in insanity’s, damned net
strangling, the mind’s dove.

Howls of pain, hellish red rain
all I’ve, become
self inflicted, I feel no pain
hollow, and numb

I’m  not, out of the woods yet
There’s, no I in love
trapped in insanity’s, damned net
strangling, the mind’s dove.

Where’s, a haven
heaven, or earth
to leave, these craven
faces, and the endless new birth.

Insanity, spreads
its children, reign
not wanting, you dead
in hope to, inflict pain.

I’m not, out of the woods yet
There’s, no I in love
trapped in insanity’s, damned net
strangling, the mind’s dove.
