![]() Chasing The LightA Poem by Lucas Oswald Lothbroke![]() What love means to me over the years depicted in the form of a short story.![]() Chasing The Light By: Dante E. Beltrami When I first met you it was amazing. Like a flower in the aftermath of a volcanic eruption. A smile that's make Satan behave. I fell hard for you from that moment. Though my heart only knew darkness, I craved the light of your love. It was warm, nice, new. After awhile the light started to burn. I never knew what light felt like until I held you. I got scared, dropped the light, and ran away. Curled up in the dark I got cold. I wanted the light back, I missed your warmth. I grabbed for it time and time again, but it burnt my fingers every time. I still want the light, I still want you. I want to feel that warmth against my face and body, in my heart, and on my lips. Will it ever happen? Will you ever let me that close again? I don't know, but I can always try.
