A parent

This is what I think a parent is

A parent is not the person who brought you into the world,

A parent is not some one who gives you every thing you want,

I think a parent is some one who loves you now matter how many times you mess up,

Some one who trys there hardest to teach you life lessions,

Some one who would give up the world for you,

If you are scared they come to you,

A parent is some one you can go to for advice or comferting,

A parent is some one you can trust,

and they love you noe matter what.

 

Author's Note

A parent dose not have to be your mom. It can be a friend, a Sister, it can even be your grand parents. So don't tink you don't have a parent becouse you will always have a parent or some one who loves you.

Nice! I agree with everything that you have written here, and I think that the way in which you conveyed these emotions was very heartfelt and honest. I liked the comparisons of what "is not" and of what "is". In a way, I did wish that you had made your poem a bit longer, exploring more the idea of what a 'parent' is to you.
However, this was a really sweet poem!
