Self love

It was dark, he became my light
I was sad, he made me happy
I had an illness, he cured my soul
I was naive, he changed that
I needed help, he was my doctor
He left and I broke
I was swallowed up by the dark again
I went back to being sad
My illness was even worse
All I felt was guilt
I needed professional help
Time passed, lesson learned
I became a beacon of light to my own dark
I made myself happy
I treated myself and did it right
I learned to respect and love myself
I got a therapist
And I'm doing just fine
