Feeling

It is unimaginable that a persons mind

can confuse another’s

to the point they no longer

know who they are,

how they feel,

or if what they think they are feeling is real...

 

The thought of it being intentional,

sickens you,

to the point you are not sure if you can ever recover,

from the pain you feel inside....

 

Even if unintentional,

you still hurt just the same,

but feel sad for the person,

knowing that their mind was trained by another,

just the same as this person is confusing yours...

 

Not knowing for sure makes you wonder...

You feel like you are going crazy,

once again going out of control,

feeling helpless yet trying to be strong,

paying attention to every move,

every word,

hoping someday you will know the answer....

 

Also realizing,

this could be another game,

a move made to confuse your mind once again,

and once again not knowing what you are feeling...

 

Starting all over again to try to find an answer to a question,

that you know you may never have an answer to...

 

Beginning to wonder if your confusion could be affecting others,

as this person is affecting yours...

 

Wondering if this persons mind has affected you to the point,

you don’t even know what you are actually feeling or thinking...

 

But somehow deep down inside you know,

what is right and what is wrong...

 

You know the confusion has to end at some point,

but you also know that your mind will never fully recover...

I wrote this a few years ago. This one was not only based on one of my own life experiences but also my friend Lauren's who died in a car accident 2 years ago.
