Bridges Ablaze

Bridges Ablaze

A Poem by Dark Cloud
"

This is a poem about what happens when the last bridge burns. Date written: 4/28/11

"

Another argument, things haven't changed

Rolling with the punches, he must be deranged

The house in an uproar, they must be insane

He made a promise, it just left the membrane

No ones to blame, yet it's all his fault

No matter what he does it's all for naught

He'll never be good enough

Knows only to e crude & rough

There is fire over the ridge

He's just burned his last bridge

He left his home

Now he's all alone

Back where he belongs

On the streets, in the wrong

Nothing can save him now

Everyone's f*****g pau

He tried to turn the other cheek

But the other cheek is far to bruised

Now he sits here wondering what to do

But all he can think about is a hangmans noose

Pen in hand, unable to speak

He sits & he thinks: his future is bleak

So he'll hold his breath till it all goes away

A casted and relaxed piece that screams of thoughtful and practiced prose, well done, good read.
