Halfway

Halfway

A Poem by Dark2Light

You have leaving in your eyes

And apologies in your smile

You are slowly beginning to place your shoes

Pointed toward the door.

Your mouth lies here but progressively

You do not live here anymore.

I am like a puddle of muddy water

In your eyes, like sunshine, I evaporate

There is a rising flood of memories

Playing in chaotic melodies across your face.
