Bittersweet

Bittersweet

A Poem by Megan Bradton
"

An acrostic poem about the effect of tears and lies.

"

BITTERSWEET

Bottled up for long enough

I'm tired of acting like I'm tough

Tears begin to fall like rain
Tears, again, and with them pain
Every word you say is cold

Revealing lies best left untold
Second chances bruise the soul
When the head recalls the toll
Even though they earn a stare
Erasing them I shall not dare
Tears, for me, are something rare

this is very creative, its rare to see acrostics that flow so well as this one, usually they are choppy attempts to fulfill the letter they are assigned. this is very well thought out, it'll be great in your anthology. good job!
