Sweet Oblivion

Sweet Oblivion

A Poem by Sahara M.
"

I literally just wrote this like 15 minutes ago. I had an epiphany! This is to let you know that death is a beginning, not an end. God will take you into his arms :)

"
Sweet Oblivion
The icy tendrils of water seem to wrap around me,
engulfing me in a dark, endless sea
I try desperately to scream and shout,
only to realize no sound comes out,
my words are voiceless,
I'm sinking into the deep blue nothingness,
my life is disintegrating before my eyes,
I cannot stop my untimely demise,
my panic is rising as I struggle to take a breath,
doing anything I can to avoid my death
my lungs are on fire and about to burst,
so I close my eyes and prepare for the worst,
I feel my life slipping away,
my soul is about to break free,
free from this world, free from this life of pain
I'm about to be released into sweet oblivion,
I realize, death isn't an end, it's a beginning
I'll be more at peace then ever before,
now that I'm knocking on heaven's door
