What Am I?

What Am I?

A Poem by Dark Tower

What Am I?

I am that which you always seek

I am that which makes the strongest weak

I am that which the foolish abuse

I am that which the smart fear to use

I am that which grants power

I am that which from armies cower

I am that which plagues your sleep

I am that which your heart keeps

I am that which cannot be harmed

I am that which the faithful charm

I am that which keeps family firm

I am that which from painful lessons are learned

I am that which cannot be seen by eyes

I am that which is written in the skies

I am that which for songs are sung

I am that which for marriage bells are rung

I am that which is as pure as a dove

I am that which in you can be

I am love, or am I destiny

Very rich piece, Love the rhyme scheme and the concept, really leaves room for us to imagine, that could be so many things which is brilliant.

Thank you. Glad you liked it.
We can be many things in a long life. I believe as long as we are kind and try to do the rights things. We will be okay. I like the flow of thoughts in the poem. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
