Ends Of The Earth

Ends Of The Earth

A Poem by Dark Tower

Ends Of The Earth

What would you have me do

If I couldn’t be with you?

If the distance between us

Was a thousand miles

Would you still believe in us?

Would you still take my hand and walk with me down the aisle?

I know that sometimes

Things can be complicated

I know that sometimes I can make you

So frustrated

But if you looked into my eyes

And glanced through the tears

You’d see that within me something lies

With the strength to face all your fears

I would walk a thousand miles just to pluck you a flower

I would cross any desert just to show you the power

Of the love

That I feel for you

There is nothing on this world I wouldn’t do for you

I would swim past crocodiles if it meant I could be with you

I would give up an eternity in heaven for a second of your smile

Just to show you that my love is true

I would paint the moon

With a portrait of your face

So the whole world could see it when your smiles in bloom

Angels move to the rhythm that you do

Stars sparkling are nothing compared to the beauty that lies

In your eyes

If we are wrong, then I’m really scared of being right

The love that burns for you in my heart could keep you warm at night

And when the days over

And you need to sleep

My love would blanket you all around

And keep you safe and sound

Because I know

I’ve found

The love of my life.

My favorite line was "Paint the moon, with a portrait of your face" Through the whole poem i imaged two lovers in prairie field at night, the stars twinkling above them; wind whirling around them, encircling them with tension filled with passion.

Distance; the very problem courtesy of a great number of devastated relationships between lovers, and I could never have said it better myself. Well done.
