Upon A Star

Upon A Star

A Poem by Dark Tower

I made a wish once when I was a kid
I wished that one day I'd know what happiness truly is
There were so many times that I thought I really did
Until you came along and showed me the light
And revealed the wrong in what I accepted as right

I'll never forget the day you walked into my life
Turned upside down and inside out
And now you're a necessity I can imagine trying to live without
You fixed me
Before I even knew I was broken
You gave back to me
The happiness that others had stolen

I could cover myself in your arms and just drift away
To a mystical place
Where it's just you and I in a world of our own design
I've been denied a love like yours my whole life
There isn't anything I wouldn't do to make you my wife

I'd give you all I am
And everything I could be
If it would keep you with me
Keep B with C
And one day we'll see
Sometimes when a great thing comes along
It really can be destiny
