I was told to ask you,

I was told to ask you,

"

I was told to ask you,
When I’m in need.
When I cannot feed.
When people are p’d.
And so full of greed.
When my life has weeds
I ask upon you to please
Just listen to my needs.

I was told to ask you,
When one night I see
It’s cold enough to freeze.
My skin cracks and bleeds
I’m down on my hand and knee
When I’m sick and feel so teased
Please won’t you even help me?

I was told to ask you,
When life is no longer at sea.
And darkness is all I can see.
I ask you the words I read.
The blue waters are now green.

I was told to ask you,
But I see you’re just to mean.
I need you now, but keen
I think I’ll just get up and leave.
Thanks for the hurt you breath.
And tomorrow my life will deem.

I was told to ask you.
Thanks for giving life you gave to me.
For in the end, Mark Twain
Told me ‘Twas all just a dream.

Wow, as soon as I started reading this poem I got into it. This piece has a very nice flow and there have been times where I felt like I was abondoned because I was told by someone to always come to them but they never were there for me. You wrote this poem beautifully. I really do love it. Amazing job!

You have a really good beat and flow to this poem. A good strong pace and flow. Wonderful to read out loud. It is an ambler of a poem. It takes its time to build but has a marvelously threatening undertone. Great write. Immense fun
