You Saved Me

I wrote this about a friend, who saved me from the darkness when I didn’t realise I needed to be saved. But re-reading it a few times, it can come across as a religious type of poem.

You saved me,
When I didn't know I needed to be,
You made me strong,
When I was at my weakest,
You are the light,
When it's all but dark,
Yet you saved me,
When I didn't realise I needed to be.
