Love Is Never Fair

Love Is Never Fair

A Poem by Dark Poet

You took me to the edge
Didn't try to save me
Instead you watched as I fell
And said your farewell

Who knew at the bottom was your heart?
I tried fixing it but it broke me
We knew it would never work
Who knew that I'd fall because of a smirk

You shouldn't have said those words
Lonely, desperate hearts surrender too easily
If only I'd met you first
Then this love wouldn't be cursed

Now we'll just be friends
Secretly in love
I will pretend It didn't hurt when I fell
And try to ignore this lonely hell

Dark Poet
I decided it was time to write again...I'm sorry if this poem doesn't flow. Just haven't been able to practice much. Thanks for reading and for reviews:)

Heart doesn't need any flow to reveal the secrets of life.. in words. You write it well with deep imagery. Every soul in this world's been betrayed by hearts, but it's true, it's healed up by love as well with time. Love's always unfair to people, but when one looks over its depth, then he may come to know that when he once fell down into love, it was the same love which makes even the whole world so fair. Very true and insightful words you've come up with.. through emotions. Well written.

Thank you Elliott:)
It's beautiful.

My, my, my. I missed you.

It flows. Don't worry.

What's important is that at least you tried to write. Well, try isn't the word because this piece came out amazing.

I haven't been writing, and I've basically given up!

Glad you're back!
