Mister

Mister

A Poem by Alicia Richey
"

It's a breakdown of a bad man and a tribute to a good man.

"

Part 1_bad man

Thank you for turning nice women into evil and miserable broads.

Now I have to deal with them as they pile into my family like a pack of cancer sticks

All smoky and wrong for me, got me choking for words.

You see, that woman or those women are my aunties, cousins, friends, whatever

And now, I've got to feel the pity and regret that you have put on them.

So thank you...

thank you for showing me that I can be stronger when I'm not looking for a man like you.

Part 2-good man

Thank you for being all good and strong and sensitive when your lady needs you to.

For putting up with her when she don't feel good

For treating her like a queen, golden crown and all

And make her want to love your every move

You take care of her like it's your responsibility and not your want

You even feel like there are time you want to flaunt...her...anywyas

Thank you for leeting her be her and she capture her foes.

So she can be bigger and better to come out on top of thes...
