![]() Ch.2: VengeanceA Chapter by Datherine100It had been a long while since Klaus had informed her about what had happened, so Kat was much better. Especially, since she had a distraction. They weren't exactly in love, but with shared grief, she and Klaus over several months, had started a thing. But then, months later, they did start falling for each other. Unlike many years or centuries ago though, they didn't care. They let themselves feel it. Even if it was strange, former enemies falling for each other. But despite hating to admit it, they'd always been the same. Kat awoke in the tunnels, injured from getting captured by an old enemy. An accidental hybrid she'd created in 1680. Once she'd realized that he'd been a wolf before he'd been turned into a vampire by her, she'd fled from him. She hadn't wanted to get bitten, and considering she'd killed his family, he'd always been so vengeful towards her. And as a hybrid, he was worst than herself. As a vampiress, she'd gotten off on torturing, but she'd done it to get information. Not because it was her favorite thing to do. A part of her wasn't too fond of torturing. She'd just always hid certain parts of herself as a vampiress, since she'd had the ability to do so. Ansel was a different story. He relished in the torture of anyone. It was his favorite thing. She could almost say that he was worst than the old Klaus. "Ansel," she stated, seated against the tunnel rock wall, rope around her wrist and a pipe, keeping her from trying to go anywhere. Not that she'd be able to. One, he was a hybrid. Two, he'd injured her in the process of capturing her. She wasn't stupid. She wouldn't and couldn't run. And she wasn't going to give him any satisfaction of fear. She couldn't let that happen. He'd probably make it worst if she let herself be afraid. Besides, she figured it wouldn't take long for Klaus to realize that she'd been taken. He knew her habits well, after all. "How did you get here?" she inquired. "It wasn't hard," he simply replied. "You're going to know as much torture as I can give," he threatened her, and knelt down in front of her. "You killed my family. You deserve to get what's coming to you. Whatever life you have left, that is." "I didn't have a care in the world back then, Ansel. My humanity was off. I couldn't deal with my mother's death. But I eventually made friends, and Anna pulled me back. If it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't have even considered turning it back on. I'm sorry for what I did, but I wasn't myself," she tried to reason with him, even though she figured it wouldn't work. "I don't want an apology from you. It's too late," he replied. "What I want the most is my vengeance. And by the time I'm done with you, it'll be a glorious victory." "You're forgetting something. I've got people here that care about what happens to me. You kill me, they'll make you suffer. Then kill you themselves," she replied, reminding him that she wasn't alone, even to this day. That people were in town that would kill whoever dared to even try to kill her. "Then I'll deal with them," he replied to her, not at all phazed. If she wasn't so weak from blood loss, she would've just used her active magic, but she didn't have the strength. Not right now. "If you insist on vengeance, then you might as well get it over with," she replied to him. He gave a smile at that. About an hour after he hadn't seen or heard from Katerina, Klaus went looking for her. Upon realizing that she'd been taken, and then smelling the familiar scent of a hybrid he didn't recognize, he went looking for them. Katerina to save, and then the hybrid to quite literally rip his heart out. He hoped that he wasn't too late, since it had been a while before he'd noticed. After he'd found where they were, and then had killed the hybrid by ripping his heart out, winning the fight, he blurred over to her. He then snapped the rope in two, before pulling her gently into his arms. Then, crook of his arm supporting her head, he bit his wrist, putting it to her lips, making his blood go down her throat. She was in terrible shape, but she'd be fine, once she'd healed and recovered. When she woke up again, she saw that she was in their room. She was on their bed, healed, Klaus seated on her bedside. She knew that it had to have been him that had healed and saved her. She wouldn't expect anything less from him anymore. She sat up in bed. "Thanks." "Anything for you, Katerina. I'm glad that you're safe. If anything had happened to you..." he replied, a hand on the side of her face. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere," she assured him. After a few minutes of looking at each other, they began to kiss. © 2025 Datherine100 |
