![]() Ch.4: VengeanceA Chapter by Datherine100It was a nebulous night, as Aurora De Martel entered the town. The sign said Storybrooke, which told her where she was. She'd escaped back in New Orleans, so she was back on her quest for vengeance. This time, not to win Nik back. No. She was here for vengeance. What he did to her was unspeakable. She was going to do whatever she could to hurt him. Maybe she'd even be able to find the one thing that could kill him. If not, torture would be enough for her. After all, torturing her mentally is exactly what he did to her. But she wouldn't straight up go to him. He'd nearly killed her last time they'd faced off. She'd figure out how she could hurt him first. It would keep him from actually killing her this time. She didn't care that she could feel that magic was all over this place. Magic didn't matter to her. Only her vengeance against Nik. After a while of being in town, she learned everything she could about the town, as well as Katherine. Now, she knew the one thing she could do to hurt him. Come after Katherine. She was human, which she figured wouldn't be too difficult. After all, humans never stood a chance against vampires. But first, it had been quite a long journey to Maine from New Orleans. She needed to feed on someone. Kat was walking through town with Klaus, when she noticed that something was wrong. She could always figure out when he smelled or heard something that she couldn't. They were usually in sync, after all, since they were alike so much. "What is it?" she inquired, but he didn't say anything, so she just followed him. And that's when they both saw the scene. "I had hoped that it would be a while before we saw each other again, but no matter. I'll still get what I want," Aurora replied. She wasn't done feeding on who appeared to be a doctor, though. Klaus gave a growl, unhappy that she'd escaped. He hadn't wanted to kill her, which had been why he hadn't. He had hoped his prison for her would've held her for eternity. "Who are you?" Kat inquired, needing information, since Klaus clearly wasn't happy that she was here. "Aurora De Martel, but you can call me Aurora. Before I was compelled, we were to get married. Elijah ruined that, but no matter. I'm not here for him anymore," she informed her, assuming if she was with Klaus in town, she had to know Elijah. Then she told Klaus, "I'm here for you. What do you say we pick up where we left off, and we play a little game? I know you love a good game of chess." She then finished off the human, not caring about who she killed, and tossed it at Klaus as a distraction. Then, a moment later, she was gone with a human Katherine. Aurora, once in the woods, began to briskly walk, a hand on Katherine's arm, making her go with her, as Aurora headed for the entrance to the tunnels. It was a good place to hide, she figured. And a place that she could keep Katherine. "What is this? Vengeance? Because it's not going to work. There aren't many places you can go. He'll know where you are. Especially, since he's not the only one with a heightened sense of smell." Aurora entered the tunnels with her, before tossing her to the ground. "That's exactly what this is. Nik broke me, just as Elijah did. Maybe worse than he did, but this debatable. I'm going to hurt him as much as possible." "Slight probably with that," Kat told her. "There's no white oak here. Also, that human you just killed? Dr. Whale. When people find out here, there's going to be a line of people for your head. And one little thing you might not know. I've got magic, but I'm not the only one in town with it. Let's just say, you don't wanna be around if Rumple or Regina find you first. You think you've dealt with the most powerful witches that you could? Think again. And they can be quite a force to reckon with. You won't win, either way." "Who said anything about winning? Even if I die for my vengeance, I could care less," she replied. "You must really be insane, then," Kat commented, getting to her feet finally. With both hybrid and wolf out looking, using their scent, as well as hearing, it didn't take long for them to find them. And when they did, Aurora had her against a tunnel wall, pinned there. Ruby came from one cave area of the tunnels, growling, before lunging at her, getting her off Katherine. She didn't bite though, unlike most wolves that Katherine and Klaus knew, would have. She just stood there, growling at her. A moment later, Klaus grabbed Aurora by the throat, once she'd gotten up from the ground, pinning her against a tunnel wall. "This is the last time you interfere," he growled at his ex. "I'm okay," Kat assured her, when Ruby looked at her. Ruby then padded away, probably out of the tunnels. When he knew Ruby was out of sight, he ripped out Aurora's heart, before letting her go, and then dropped it to the ground. "Let's go, luv," he stated. "Gladly," Kat replied. © 2025 Datherine100 |
