![]() Ch.8: The Great BattleA Chapter by Datherine100It had been about a week since the fight between Zelena and Regina, which Kat had been able to stop. Both witches had fully recovered. Also, Regina and Robin had gotten quite close to one another in that time. Regina was in a hallway with Robin, them kissing, before finally pulling away from him. "What do you see in me?" she wanted to know. "Hopefully, the same thing you see in me. A second chance. And you're quite a good kisser." They shared another kiss, before Regina came into Snow and Charming's place Kat and Klaus were still staying in. Anyone could tell that she was happy. Happier than she had been in a long time. "Are we ready?" Regina questioned. "We thought we'd wait for Hook to join us," Kat replied. "I don't have time to wait for the handless wonder. We have to figure out how to destroy my sister." "We could just find out where she's hiding. Then we take the fight to her. You and I, together, have enough power to win against her," Kat replied to her, seated on the couch. "I like your confidence, but that was you that stopped her last time. I wasn't powerful enough to win. I got nothing but my a*s kicked. How do you suggest we even find her?" Regina replied. "Maybe so, but this time, we can do it together. You looked once at that farmhouse. Maybe we can look again. This time, not alone. There aren't many places a witch can hide in this town," Kat suggested. "I can scour the woods and tunnels, if you'd like, luv," Klaus suggested to her. "Good idea. Take Robin Hood with you. As powerful as she is, if anything happens, I know that his arrow won't miss its mark," Kat agreed, and then told him. She then got up from the couch. "On the way to the farmhouse, let's go find Hook. We could always use some form of backup." "And what do you suggest for him to do? He doesn't have magic," Regina countered. "No, but as long as I've known him, he's a great shot. There are flying monkeys. If Zelena decides to use them, he'd be a great shot," Kat replied. Regina figured she had a point, and they headed to the first place they thought he'd be at. The docks. After all, once a pirate, always a pirate at heart, no matter what. When they got there, monkeys were heading towards him, and he was shooting at them. Kat didn't have a weapon to be shooting at flying monkeys though, but Regina brought out a fireball, starting to evaporate them into nothing. The same thing happened, as Hook shot each monkey. Then, after they'd defeated them all, Zelena appeared, arm around Katherine. Regina was going to use magic on her, but got thrown, knocking her out. "You didn't learn last time. Did you?" Kat stated. "I couldn't resist. Besides, once you're out of the way, I can finally finish the job." "Well, guess what? Not the first time I've gotten myself captured, and I'm a quick learner," she replied. Then made Zelena's hands smoke until it hurt enough for her to let go. Zelena got angry, but Kat magically tossed her away. Then, once on her feet, Zelena disappeared, telling them it wasn't over. Regina still hadn't awoken from getting knocked out. Kat rushed over, kneeling by her, a hand on her arm, making sure she was okay. "Regina," Kat stated, trying to wake her up. "Regina." It took quite a few times, but she finally got her awake, and then helped her up. Eventually, they were able to figure out how to get their missing memories back, telling them what would defeat Zelena. Light magic. Since Regina's magic, had always been Dark, they figured that Kat was the one that would probably be able to defeat her. Especially, since Kat kept being the one to be able to stop her from hurting others. After Regina had recovered from her ordeal at the docks, they went to the farmhouse, as Kat had suggested, Hook with them. That's where they found Zelena. Or, rather, she found them, before they got too close to the farmhouse, not far from the well in the yard. "You have a decision to make, Katherine. You can keep your magic, or I can start killing people. We both know there's more than one way to get rid of magic," she replied. "I'm not from your world. It's easier said than done. I can't just get rid of my magic, whether I want to or not," Kat replied. She'd never liked being descended from Travelers, or even using magic unless she absolutely needed to, because she'd never wanted to honor her no good father. Here, though. In this place, she had to. She had to use it to save others. Especially, when it came to witches. "Figure it out," Zelena replied. "In the mean time, choose wisely," she added, before magically tossing Hook half into the well. Most people would've panicked, but she wasn't close enough to him. Plus, she knew well that that wouldn't help him. That, and she wasn't alone. She also knew witches enough to know that they couldn't do more than one spell at once. If they were distracted enough, the spell would stop. "You expect me to care a lot about the people in this town? The one and only thing I care about is competition. Let's see who can overpower who," Kat replied, taking a few steps forward. "I take it, you've made your decision then," Zelena replied. A moment later, there was a showdown between her and Zelena, which was enough distraction to stop the magic keeping him half in the well, and Regina was able to save him. Then Regina got up to help defeat her, once and for all. Zelena magically lifted them both up off the ground, as she reminded her that only Light magic could defeat her, and that they were both the same. Both Dark. Then Regina's magic began to change. "What are you doing?" Zelena inquired. "Changing. Nobody tells me what my destiny is," Regina replied. Then was able to throw Zelena magically, making her let both of them go, and Regina was able to take her necklace, which was where Zelena's magic was located. She then told Zelena, "You failed." Hook came over, helping Katherine up. "You okay, luv?" "I've been through worse than this one. Besides, I'm not so easily defeated, even as a human," she replied to him. "You're not going anywhere," Regina told Zelena. "So, you're a hero now?" Zelena inquired of her. "Today, I am." Later that day, Zelena was locked up in a jail cell, Regina in front of it. She was going to take a page from Katherine's book, wanting to give Zelena a chance, just as Regina had been given a chance. "Why not just kill me, and put me out of my misery?" Zelena questioned. "Because I know why you did what you did. We're much alike. Our mother ruined you, too. I know what it's like to not have the life you wanted. The life you feel you deserve." "You had to be Queen," Zelena reminded her. "You know nothing. I saw it all. You had everything." "Did I? So, you missed the part where I lost the love of my life." "Mother did all that for you to achieve greatness." "Not long ago, I was a lot like you," Regina replied. "I wanted to kill someone who wronged me, and I failed. Had I killed Snow White, I wouldn't be in this world. I wouldn't be with these people, and I wouldn't have my son, Henry. Most of all, I never would have met Katherine, who's been a wonderful friend to me, despite everything. So, no, Zelena, I won't kill you. Instead, I'm gonna give you what I got. I'm gonna give you a second chance." "What if I don't want it?" Zelena inquired. "Well, that would be a mistake. Take it. Use it. Evil isn't born. It's made. And so is good. If I were you, I'd consider creating a new destiny. Because if you don't, I'll be right there to take your heart and crush it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I should put this somewhere safe," she replied, Zelena's necklace in her hand. Later that day, not too longer after Regina had put Zelena's necklace in her vault, Rumple paid Zelena more than just a visit to her cell, his dagger in his hand. Vengeance, after all, was his specialty. "Wait. Regina took my necklace. I'm powerless. I can't hurt anyone. Why?" Zelena replied, and wanted to know, back against the back wall, Rumple in front of her inside her cell. "Because you tried to hurt Katherine, and that, I won't let be unpunished," he replied. Then stabbed her with his dagger, which made her turn to glass, falling into pieces on the floor, before the pieces disappeared. Rumple used magic to open up the cell door, before leaving. Unknown to him, killing her had made her essence go into her necklace in Regina's vault, and then opened up a portal. Meanwhile, Kat and Klaus were at home, getting it on, having grown intimately close over the past year. © 2025 Datherine100 |
