![]() Ch.10: NewcomerA Chapter by Datherine100It was a beautiful day, as a stranger came from where Hook and Katherine had come back, and had closed said portal. The stranger walked through town, looking at her strange surroundings. As she did, ice followed behind her, symbolizing that her magic was ice magic. Then, when she saw something in the window of a shop, she went in and took it, knowing it to be her sister's necklace. "Don't worry, Anna. I will find you," she stated, as she looked at the necklace she held. Then, because she didn't want anyone leaving until she did so, she put up a wall all around the town. She needed to find her. She had to find her, no matter what. Kat was at the diner with Klaus, when a blackout happened everywhere in town. When they went investigating, they found an ice wall. Upon further investigation, it looked like it surrounded the entire town, keeping everyone from leaving or coming in. "One thing's for certain, whoever did this has some form of ice magic," Kat commented. Hook joined them, informing them what they'd already figured out, and realized that the fallen electric post might have something to do with the loss of power. That impressed her, him figuring that out on his own. "It looks like whoever was putting up the wall wasn't trying to take out the lights. They were just putting up the wall. Probably to keep us all in," Kat told them. "To kill us all one by one. It's what I'd do," Hook commented. "Maybe. Maybe not. We don't know who this person is. Not every magical creature wants to kill us. Some people are actually kind. Just probably scared of this new world," Kat told Hook. She then took a step forward, wanting to see if she could find the person responsible, and felt a familiar hand on her arm. "What are you doing, Katerina?" She looked at the hybrid. "We need to find out who's responsible. The only way to do that is for me to check the wall. Besides, out of the two of us, I'm the least scary person to come across." He let her go. "Be careful, Katerina." He knew better than to try to change her mind, but did hope that she'd tread with caution. With all of these dangers lately with her, he was afraid something would happen to her. But he wouldn't hold her back, unlike others. They were too much alike. She approached the wall. Then came through a crack in it, which was when she saw the responsible person. "Hey. It's okay," she assured her, when she backed away, hand ready in case she needed to protect herself, which Katherine understood. That made her assume that she was probably just frightened of this world she knew nothing of. "My name's Katherine," she introduced herself. "Who are you?" "Elsa," the stranger replied to her. "Why are you here? Why did you make this wall?" Kat wanted to know. "I'm looking for my someone. My sister. I can't find her." Elsa showed her sister's necklace to her, as she held it. "This was hers. I found it in the store filled with things. Where is she?" "I have no idea, but I can help you. If you help me. What's her name?" "Anna," Elsa told her. "Then we'll start looking for her. You don't need to be frightened of this world, though. Nothing here will hurt you," Kat assured her. Suddenly, Kat heard a noise, and she saw Hook beginning to come meet her. "Stay back," Kat warned him, making him stop. Suddenly, Elsa was unable to control the magic any longer, and the wall got completely closed in, trapping her and Elsa, as well as making both of them fall. It closed up too quick, keeping Klaus from being able to get her out of there. Hook got to his feet, and then started hacking at the ice with his hook, using it as an ice pick to break up the ice. It didn't do much good, though. "That's not going to work, mate," he calmly told him. "Well, then I'm open for suggestions," Hook replied. "Katerina's okay. For now," he assured him, hearing that she was perfectly fine for the moment. "My suggestion is to stand back, mate. I'll get Katerina out of there. Bonus of being part werewolf and vampire. I'm stronger than everyone here," he added, Hook having yet to see him in action. He hadn't seen his super anything yet. "How do you know?" he wanted to know. "I have more heightened hearing than Ruby does, since I'm both species at the same time. I'd be the first to know if something's wrong with Katerina," he explained. Then began using his hybrid strength to start breaking through the ice. When Kat and Elsa awoke, they found themselves trapped in the ice cave. Almost as soon as they got to their feet, Elsa told her, "You and your people need to be more careful." "Hook's not exactly mine. Nobody here is any of my people. Sure, I take charge when disaster strikes, and when Regina can't think of a solution, but this isn't my town. Nor are they my people. Klaus, however, is from the same world as I am. Outside of this town. Plus side of Klaus. He has super hearing," she explained to her. "He can hear through things like walls. Hook can't." Then she said to nothing, "Klaus, tell Hook to go to Rumple's shop. She's here looking for her sister, because she found a necklace belonging to her in Rumple's shop. I don't think she can control her magic, so Elsa needs her sister found so she can control it." Klaus did as he was told, which Hook obeyed. Then went back to trying to break through the wall. "Aren't you cold? I'm freezing," Kat stated to Elsa. "It never bothered me," Elsa admitted to her. "You know, I get it. You can't control your abilities. I've been around witches long enough to notice someone that can't control it. Can't say I have magical experience in not being able to control it, but other abilities? I used to be something that wasn't human. Something that didn't have magic. Those kinds of abilities I had to learn to control on my own. My first real love couldn't be there for me every single time I failed to control it. But I got in control, eventually. Both on my own and with help from strangers. And those strangers became my friends. Part of my problem with control was I couldn't deal with the loss of my mother. She was my world. Next to my daughter, of course." "You have magic?" she inquired of Katherine. "Yes," Kat informed her. Elsa decided to open up to her. "Anna helps. She helps me control it. So if I could find her, she could help me undo this. We can get rid of all this. The whole wall. When she's here." "Well, she's not," Kat reminded her. "Maybe your magic could help get us out of here," Elsa suggested. "I'm not strong enough as cold as it is in here," she admitted. "Plus, my kind of magic only moves things. It doesn't break things down," she added. "Besides, I imagine Klaus is probably making his way through your wall ice as we speak. He'll do anything to save me, and he has super strength. He's stronger than anyone in this town physically." Then she began to feel tired from the cold. Having had a mother as a nurse, she knew this was pretty bad now, and was hoping Klaus could break through that wall soon. "Tell me more. Were you born with magic, or cursed?" Elsa wanted to know, but also knew she needed to try and keep her awake as long as possible, as she knelt by her on the ground of the ice cave. Katherine knew what she was doing, but answered her anyway. "I didn't know about having magic until a few years ago, but I'm descended from gypsies. I just was able to find a way to make it into active magic, but only recently did I learn to do that. I was quite unprepared when I found out about my lineage, through my daughter, ironically." "I ended up Queen. I was unprepared, too. And I'm the only one I heard of with powers like mine," she informed her. "I'm very sorry I trapped us here. I didn't mean it." Then had to call to her, trying to wake her up. "Katherine, stay with me," she called to her. Klaus was finally able to break enough of the wall to get through. Since Elsa didn't have magical control, he wasn't angry at her, since it wasn't exactly her fault. As soon as he saw her on the ground, Elsa trying to wake her up still, he instantly was knelt at her side. "Katerina," he stated, as he gently pulled her into his arms. Then told Elsa which he'd heard was some kind of queen, "Follow me. We'll find your sister later." When she awoke, Kat felt back to normal again, the power was back on, and Klaus was on the corner of the couch, having been waiting for her to wake up. "Might I suggest not to go into an ice cave again, luv?" he told her. He wouldn't say it, since they both knew how he felt, but he'd felt like he'd almost lost her. "I think we can agree on that," she replied, and slowly sat up. He rested a hand on the side of her face. "Maybe you should let someone else do the heroics for a while," he suggested. "We still need to find her sister," Kat stated. Kat looked at the room, which was where she saw that both Elsa and Hook were there, a shepherd's crook leaning against the island counter, which served as a kitchen table. "While you were being rescued, I figured out how to find her sister. Bo Peep's crook," Hook informed Katherine. "Good. Then the search for her sister can begin," Kat replied. The next day, the wall was taken down by Elsa, which worked. Eventually, using the necklace and crook, and working together, they were able to all find Ana. It reunited them, as well as Kristoff. Then they were eventually able to find a way back to their home. © 2025 Datherine100 |
