Summary: Set in VD S3 and OUAT 2x1. After Damon is bitten by a werewolf, it's up to Kat to save him. When they end up in Storybrooke, will she be able to save him in time with Klaus so far away? Will she find a different kind of cure after meeting Regina and the others? What will ensue between them?

It was a dismal night in Mystic Falls, as Kat blurred towards the sounds of a fight, knowing that it was a full moon, but also knowing that Damon was sometimes an idiot being outside during a full moon. And she was right, considering Damon had clearly been bitten. There was a fully phased black werewolf growling and ready to attack. Kat wasn't going to let anything happen to her elder childe, despite him already being bitten, and in a blur, tossed the wolf into a tree so much that it caused the wolf pain, making it run off at the best of its ability.

She knelt by him, where he was on the ground, clearly weak from the bite, which she saw to be on his arm. However, despite him hating her guts for telling him earlier this year that she never loved him, she never wanted to see him dead. She'd rather die than to see him dead. She just didn't know how to get the cure to him, considering she'd recently found out that the cure for the bite was her greatest enemy of all time.

"Damon?" she called to him to make sure that he was still in the present, knowing that one of the symptoms was hallucinations. And she didn't know how long ago that he'd been bitten, but was sure that it had been a while.

"What are you doing here?" he had to ask.

"I'm helping you. You and I both know that you need my help. I may not know how to get it right now, but I'll figure out a way to get the cure for you."

"Since when do you care?" he questioned her. Sure, he knew that he needed help, but that didn't mean he wanted Katherine's help.

"I always have. We don't have time for this conversation right now, but I only broke your heart to protect you from Klaus. I didn't want you killed for loving me. Klaus would've killed you to hurt me more if we showed that we loved each other."

Damon wasn't sure if he believed her reason for hurting him, but knew he had to let her help him, whether he liked it or not. She was the only person there to help him. He didn't trust her all the time, but that didn't mean that he'd turn down being cured when he needed it the most. Like now. Plus, he was weak. He needed help.

He slowly sat up, which was when she put an arm around him, helping him to his feet. He then put an arm around her shoulders, trusting for the moment that she wouldn't let him die. If he died, their cat and mouse game would end. And as far as he was concerned, she loved playing games.

A few moments later, as they slowly walked with her supporting him, they suddenly appeared somewhere else. A town he didn't know. The sign read Storybrooke.

"What happened?" Damon questioned, even though he was sure she didn't know the answer to his question.

"I don't know, but maybe someone here will know what to do to help you. If we're lucky enough," she replied, telling him only half the truth.

Suddenly, Damon became weaker, which made Kat have to try and catch him so that he didn't fall onto the pavement.

"Stay with me, Damon," she pleaded. Then, knowing now that they were in Storybrooke, and having been in town before about a year ago, knew where to go.

The 500-year-old vampiress blurred towards town, only stopping when she got to the big, white house. Then, as she held her barely awake elder childe up, she used her free hand to ring the mayor's doorbell, hoping she was alone. She didn't want anyone to see him except for the creator of this town. She cared about most of the people in this town after having gotten to know them a year ago, but she didn't trust all of them with someone that she cared about and up until now, secretly still loved. After all, she pretty much had just informed him that she still loved him.

After a few minutes of waiting, she saw a familiar witch open the door. Although she looked like she was upset about something, she still put on at least a neutral face.

"What are you doing here? I thought you left town," she greeted.

"I found Damon bitten. On my way to getting him home, I suddenly appeared by the town line with him. I don't know how or why, but I need the cure for a werewolf bite. As I told you before, a werewolf bite is deadly to a vampire. I don't want him to die. Please," she replied.

"Fine," Regina said, and stepped aside. "Come in," she added, having been told by Katherine that vampires needed an invitation into someone's home. "You can put him in one of the rooms upstairs," she added.

"Thank you," Kat said, before entering. She then blurred upstairs with him, before finding a guest room. Then she got him on the bed and put a wet washcloth on his forehead, trying to keep him cool.

Regina was downstairs by the staircase, when Katherine came back down.

"What do you want me to do?" Regina asked her.

"Use your magic. Find a cure for a werewolf bite. You've got a wolf amongst you all. I could sense it last year when I was here. You can test it on her. Or whatever it is you do. But he has less than twenty-four hours before he dies of that bite. I'd rather be killed by Klaus than for Damon to die."

"You really do love him," Regina stated.

        "I do."

        "Have you told him?"

"I sort of did earlier when I found him, but I don't think he believes me. He's stubborn, but he also feels everything with his entire being and soul. I broke his heart less than a year ago. It's going to take time for him to love me again. You don't know much about him, but I'll put it this way. You don't want to anger him. He tends to lash out when he's hurt emotionally."

"I'll figure something out," she stated, before the door was pounded on. Then they heard the doctor's voice telling her to open the door or they were going to come in themselves.

"What's that all about?" Kat wanted to know.

"I ruined a lot of people's lives as you're aware of. Well, the curse was just broken. Everyone remembers that didn't remember before. They probably want revenge," Regina explained, before opening the front door with a smile.

        "Can I help you?"

"That smirk isn't gonna last forever, Regina. You took everything from us. Now...," he replied. Then was cut off by Regina.

"What? Now, you're gonna kill me?"

"Eventually," he informed her. "But first you need to suffer."

Regina walked out onto her porch, leaving the door open as she did so, as Kat watched from by the stairs in the house.

"Listening to you has been enough suffering for all of us," Regina said, pushing him away from her to get him off her porch. When she did so, it made a few people in the crowd gasp, figuring she was going to do something Evil Queen-related. "That's right. You wanted to see your queen?" She walked down the steps, off of her porch. "Well, my dears. Here. She. Is," she said, attempting to change wardrobes magically, but was unsuccessful.

"She's powerless!" someone in the crowd said.

"Get her!" someone else in the crowd said.

The doctor grabbed her, pinning her against a pillar of her house.

        "Where were we?"

After seeing all of this, Katherine stepped onto the porch and in a blur had tossed the doctor off of her, making him land on the ground.

"Leave her alone!" she growled, making the crowd step back some. "If you weren't all fairytales, you would all be dead right now for trying to hurt her." She smelled the fear of the crowd of people, which made her assume that they all remembered her from the last time she'd been in town. "You remember me. Good. That means you know not to mess with me. Now, if you all can set aside your vengeance and find it in your heart to forgive her for what she did to you all, I'll let this slide. However, you won't want to come after her again, because I'll let my vampire side show you what happens when you mess with the wrong people. I don't want to hurt anyone, but I won't let a town make havoc just to destroy the person that created it. You think you know her so well? You don't. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in this town that knows her just as she knows herself. Now, if you'll excuse us, I need her to save someone close to me."

Regina and Katherine went inside, Katherine closing the door just as she saw the most notable heroes heading towards the house.

        "Thank you," Regina said.

"Yeah, well, us girls have to stick together. I don't care what you did in the past or present. What I care about is having someone save Damon's life. What's wrong with your magic?" Katherine replied.

"I don't know. The curse has been broken. Obviously, not by my doing. I didn't bring magic here, either. Rumple did. If I can't use magic, then I'm not sure how I can help you save him," Regina informed and admitted to her.

"In that case, I guess we'll have to go get him. As long as I'm with you, no one will go anywhere near you. Unless, of course, they're stupid enough to outmatch a 538-year-old vampire."

After some thought, Regina decided it would be fine if she left with Katherine to have a little chat with Rumple. Well, Regina was going to have a chat. She wasn't too sure what Katherine's plans would be. She had a tendency to be even more dangerous than Regina herself if she didn't get what she wanted. Or, in this case, needed.

Katherine and Regina entered Gold's shop. That's when Kat saw who she assumed to be the girl he cared about. Seizing the opportunity for leverage against him, she grabbed her, standing behind her in the middle of the shop.

"You must be Belle. Don't worry. I won't hurt you. I just need your boyfriend to do something for me. And he can be difficult," she informed her, but low enough that Rumple didn't hear her.

"What are you doing?" Regina questioned. Although she'd locked Belle up for several years, she hadn't actually wanted to have her come to harm's way.

"Leverage," Katherine stated. Then she called out, "Rumple, I believe I have something you may want."

After a few minutes, Katherine saw him emerge from the back of his shop and, upon seeing the scene, he was ready to throw magic at her in a form of a ball.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded.

"Well, let's see. I was on my way to try and find help for someone I care about that I turned years ago, only for us to appear by the town line. Then, I take him to Regina's and tell her what happened, only to find out the curse is broken and the town wants revenge on Regina. However, something is wrong with her magic, so I'm going to need your help. You are going to find a way to save Damon's life and help Regina regain her magic. If you don't do what I say, things will become very nasty. You can have Belle back, but if you even try to get out of helping me, you're going to wish that you could die," she replied.

        He put the fireball away.

"Fine. I'll do it," he agreed, not wanting Katherine to harm her.

"Good," Katherine replied. She then let Belle go whom then went over to Rumple. "Now, take us to Regina's place. I'll show you what needs to be done," she ordered him, in which he obeyed.

Once at Regina's, Kat led the Dark One into the room Damon was in, and sat on his bedside.

"Damon was bitten by a werewolf. He has less than twenty-four hours to get the cure. You fairytales can't leave this town as far as I know, so there's no forcing Klaus to give his blood to Damon to cure him. You need to find a way to save Damon's life with some other cure. I've lost people before. I'm not losing Damon. I don't care if he loves me or not. I'll do anything I can to save his life."

"Well, I can't promise anything, but there may be a way to cure him from the werewolf bite," he told her.

"What do we have to do?" she asked him.

"I can create an elixir that should save him. I just need some time to get what I need. You should just stay with him," he replied.

Kat decided since it was Damon, she would give him a benefit of the doubt and trust him, even though she knew that some days, trusting him wasn't the smartest move. He was the Dark One, after all.

"Fine. Get back here as soon as you can. If he dies, I'll be your worst nightmare," she threatened and ordered him, making sure that he would do as he said he would. When it came to helping those she cared about, she'd do anything for them.

She watched, as Rumple disappeared. She then told Regina, "Get some cool wet washcloths. I'll stay with him. If you need anything, let me know."

Regina left to do as she was told. She then came back with them and gave them to the vampiress. The vampiress then took them and put one on his forehead, before using the other one to damp on his face, trying to cool him down.

When Damon woke up, he saw that he was in a bedroom he was unfamiliar with, Katherine seated by his side, and he was feeling better, as if he wasn't dying anymore.

        "You stayed," he stated.

"Of course, I stayed. Despite what you feel about me, I don't want to see you dead. Now that you're not dying anymore, I think it's time we find a way home," she informed and told him.

"So, we really are somewhere else then. Where exactly are we?"

"It's a town created magically by a witch of some sorts. Storybrooke, Maine. I was here for a while before I returned to town. However, I'm not planning on staying here. I spent enough time in this town. So, what we need is either a portal or someone that knows a way out of this town. You can't just leave town. Things happen if people try to just leave."

"What do you mean?" he questioned, sitting up in bed, curious as to what kind of town this was.

"Well, it depends on the curse that's on the town line. You see, you may not believe it right now, but in this town, fairytales exist. The person that created this town was the Evil Queen, but she likes to be called Regina. She's trying to change herself for her son. She's trying to be good."

Regina stood by the open door.

"I see he's awake. And cured. I think I've gotten my magic back now, so how about I get the two of you back home."

"That would be great," Kat replied, and got to her feet, which Damon followed in suit.

Later, she found a way to take them back home through a portal, so that's what they did. Regina used it to get them back home, which worked, and after everything that had happened, Kat and Damon finally got back together again.
