Legacies: A New Chapter

Summary: Just a one-shot. Leaving off from the ending of Legacies 4x3. When Hope ends up in a dead and smoky field place, she has to decide whether to go towards the light or not, not knowing if that's peace or not. What will she decide?

        Hope didn't know what to decide, not knowing what the skeleton was trying to tell her. Then she heard someone behind her.

        "Your opening will only be there so long. If you want to finish what you started, follow the light."

        Hope turned around to see who it was.

        "Katherine?" she said, recognizing her from books.

        "I thought you needed a little push, so I came. It's nothing to be afraid of. I've made the journey more than once."

        "How did you know?" she asked.

        "Your dad and I buried the hatchet. He can't leave the peace, but I can, so I've been watching over you for him. We know, and we're proud of you. You're making the right decision," the human explained. "Now, go before you lose your chance. Klaus is there, waiting to meet you half way. Don't disappoint him."

        Hope gave a smile at the thought of seeing him again, and was impressed that Katherine and her dad were working together for once.

        "Thank you," she said, before getting in the boat with the skeleton, heading for the light.

        Katherine watched her from the bank for a few minutes, before taking her usual route back to the peaceful land.
