Ch.3: Vampiress To The Rescue

Ch.3: Vampiress To The Rescue

A Chapter by Datherine100

William's POV

William walks to his apartment and gets his keys out and fiddles with them until he feels someone watching him.

He looks around and sees no one there. He turns back and fiddles with the key port in the door handle. Then he hears someone ask, "You need some help there, mate?" He looks up to see Klaus with hybrid eyes and is shocked and scared, as he is grabbed by his throat and pushed into the wall. Klaus kicks the door in and takes William inside. He then throws him onto the couch and gets his phone out and calls Kat until she picks up.

"Hello, luv. I have your play thing here, and he looks delicious." He then hangs up on her, before she can say anything.

Katherine's POV

After I get a call from Klaus and he tells me that he has Will in so many ways, I'm furious, but I contain it. Being around for 500 plus years, you learn to control your hunger and your anger, as well as your grief. He hangs up before I can say anything though, which makes me have to go rescue him from Klaus. Since I know Will was heading home, that's where I go.

After twenty minutes, I come inside to see the destruction of the living room.

"What do you think you're doing, Klaus?" I ask him. "Human or not, you can't do anything to him. I won't let you," I add, standing between them, looking at Klaus, not afraid to go up against him, despite the fact that his bite could literally kill me.

Klaus' POV

Klaus says, "Oh, it's not like you didn't want to drink. It's not in your nature to not do it." He holds William by the throat and says, "Drink from him or I snap his neck." He looks at her and watches her. He thinks she's going soft. He waits for her to make a move.

William groans and gets up and is confused to what they are talking about. He's scared and panicking. He looks around for his inhaler.

Katherine's POV

"Where's your humanity at, Klaus? You can't just kill every human you run across. Some are off limits," I question him. Apparently, he's lost his morals and humanity, or he's forgotten how this town works. In Mystic Falls, killing every human you run across alerts the council. Vampires like me would rather not alert the council. I like staying low profile.

In a blur, I throw Klaus and, knowing he's looking for his inhaler, I grab it from the floor and give it to him. Then I tell him, "I'll explain later." I give him the keys to my car and tell him, "Get somewhere safe. Don't look back." I then face Klaus whom is getting to his feet after I threw him through a wall, and make sure that I'm in a position to stop Klaus from trying anything else with Will, so Will can get to safety. I then tell Klaus, "Some of us have enough morals not to kill every human or feed on every human that we run across. And some of us would rather not turn all our human friends into vampires. So, how about you take a beat and stop threatening him. He doesn't know anything, so he's not part of any of this. You want to go on a killing spree? Be my guest, but do it with some other humans. And unless you want to have to deal with the council, I suggest a minimum of killing. Unlike you, I like to stay at a low profile."

Klaus' Pov

        Klaus smirks and disappears.

William goes to the wall and cuts his hand on a piece of glass, not realizing it. He's scared of her and shaking. He's lost blood, too. He looks at her and holds his knees.

Katherine's POV

I turn around and look at Will, only to see that he's afraid. Afraid of me. I can see and sense it both as a vampire. He's also bleeding, but being a 500 sum year old vampiress, the scent doesn't really faze me.

        I slowly approach him.

"Will, you don't need to be afraid of me. I'm not going to hurt you. If I was going to hurt you, I would've done it a long time ago," I assure him.

William Pov

William doesn't know what to think, so he rocks himself back and forth, ignoring the pain from his hand. He's getting dizzy from the blood loss and keeps rocking himself. He's scared and frightened. He didn't know they existed, but yet here they are.

Katherine's POV

I kneel in front of him and rest a hand on the side of his face.

"It's okay. I may not be human, but I'm still the same Katherine you've always known. I just have some extra abilities humans don't have. Do you still trust me?"

William's POV

William looks at her and nods, confused and shaken up by what has happened, as well as what he's found out about his friend, but he still trusts her more than anything.

        "Yes. I do," he replies.

Katherine's POV

Happy that he still trusts me after everything he's just witnessed and found out, I tell him, "You need to drink my blood to heal. You've lost a lot." Then I bite my wrist and hold it out to him for him to drink from. "As long as you don't die within twenty-four hours, you'll stay human. I promise."

William's POV

William sees her bite her wrist and tries to stand up, but is weak.

"I'm okay, Kat. I'll pass," he replies, and tried to walk. Then, when he starts getting dizzy, he falls to the floor, hitting his head on the floor.

Katherine's POV

My wrist instantly heals itself, thanks to vampire healing, and I tell him, "You're not fine."

A moment later, when he tries to get up, despite being weak from blood loss, he falls, so I vamp-speed over to him.

"Will," I say, knelt by him now. Although he just declined my blood, I know he needs it, so I bite my wrist again and feed my vampire blood to him to heal him, which works as usual. Then, before he wakes up, I take him to my place, getting him on my bed. This is a safer place for him, since anything not a vampire are the only species that can enter. Vampires may not be able to own things like property, but as long as the human on the deed is alive, an uninvited vampire or half vampire can't come inside uninvited. But then again, I know that Klaus is too much like me. He always has something up his sleeve.
