A Day to Live

A Day to Live

A Poem by DaughterNature

Under the gaze of a clear blue sky,

With hardly the shadow of haze

Hovering over the faraway stretching

Backbone ridges of land,

I walk,

And breathe,

And live the day.

Fingers of a reaching tree,

Every tooth of every leaf,

Chattering red with autumn’s coming chill,

Mumbling with deep sighs of breeze;

And every inch of bark-skin exposed

Is bathed by grinning warmth and light.

your poem puts me there ... i love the fall and warm leafy days such as you describe... i like the simple reality of this and how easy to relate to ... if someone hasn't taken such a walk ... this should inspire them ..very nice gentle poem

"I walk,
And breathe,
And live the day."

We should all remember this. We are often caught up in the busyness of the world that we sometimes just drift through life.

Thank you!
This poem is lovely. Visually you took me on a very nice autumn stroll through the simple charms of nature. I'd go again!
