Meditate

Meditate

A Poem by David Dodsworth

I close my eyes and clear my mind, my body now a shell
My spirit leaves this world once more, to escape the living hell

I think of things like flying, and soaring high above
And travel through the universe, a journey that I love

I walk along a golden beach ,with two moons in the sky
A feeling of euphoria, as life just passes by

Dancing on the water’s edge and skipping on the shore
Then I visit heaven to meet with friends once more

And loved ones that are waiting, to see me once again
Need  wait no longer as I’ve reached a higher plane

After that I turn back round, return to where I’m from
Back to stark reality, back to a world gone wrong

My soul and body cleansed now i sing myself awake
Until I meditate again, and need another break
