Cracks in Pavement

Cracks in Pavement

A Poem by David-Tyler

Holding you
You holding me
I'm melting away
Into the very next day

Blurry painting
Your name hangs over me
And I couldn't ever explain why
Your words wrapped themselves around me

Missing you
Hard, empty feeling
I'm fading away without you
Tripping over my unwanted thoughts

Cracks in pavement
Spell your name out to me
Clouds drifting across skies
Bare your angel winged eyes

Time ripples on
Like a gentle wave
Caught in the ongoing current
I wish I was strong enough to go back

Holding you
Hard, empty feeling
I couldn't ever explain why
I wish I was strong enough to go back

Cracks in pavement
Your name hangs over me
I'm fading away without you
I wish I was strong enough to go back

Reads of a song...a sad one. Those feelings so raw and lonely...desperation. Dang Lovers! Tripping over unwanted thoughts...great line.

Thank you for the kind words! This definitely wasn't my best.
I can feel the strong emotion in this poem! It must have come from a very vulnerable place. Thanks for sharing!
