Wishes

Wishes

A Poem by David-Tyler

Stars shine on tainted veins
Love lost losers looking for their fix
Inject your touch, let's go for a ride
Snort my innocence through a moonbeam straw

I make wishes on pills
LSD fantasies come true
Watch the wallflower bloom to poison ivy
Soak my heart up through your roots

Sex lead me to who I am today
And orgasms kept me legally insane
The roses wrapped around her body sing
Faintly they call me to sea like a sailor's sirens

I shake too much to sleep
So I think of ways to occupy wandering thoughts
Bottles around my bed are always empty
Just like the strangers who lay next to them

Ecstasy gives my eyes sunshine
And the syringes made me build a shrine
In the honor of the girl who stole my virginity
Then I sacrificed my dignity in her name soothingly

I feel like you've experienced some hard things in your life. If not, you do a god job writing about those who have. I liked what you did here. I think there are some things you can do to make it flow a little better, but overall, I thought it was good. Thanks for writing and sharing!
