A Moments Pause

A Moments Pause

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

A hastily written pretentious poem about hasty moods and more hastily made decisions

"
Allow it time
Like aging wine
Let it rest
Let it breathe…
As dregs might settle
In cooling kettle
So passions lessen
And anger takes leave

Withdraw a bit
Wait a while
Allow passion’s flame
To die down low
Best not to press
Nor e’en address
Nor disturb, but allow..
The calming flow

For the morrow always brings
Newborn light
Cosmic changes
New insight
So allow it time
Let it breathe
Let it lay
Give it leave

As impassioned breasts
Soon cease to heave
E’en the Cosmos changes
So it seems…
So ride astride
The raging tide
Give free rein
To fresh new dreams

And let it rest…
…let it breathe…

I know it stumbles and rambles a bit, but I had two cups of coffee just before I penned this.

You especially need to avoid hasty words when using the Internet. A written lettter you can think bout. In a telephone call you have time to choose your words. But you sent some unthought out words over the Internet and they travel the airwaves for ever and ever and ever.....
