I applaud the obvious humor and the tight flow. Though not essential to enjoyment of the piece, the use of a 14th century version of upon, and the use of 'ol rather than old (I can not place the history of that version, can you?) might limit its acceptance to a publisher, if you were desirous of doing so.
I tend to think that the idea of presumed wisdom given to individuals of mature years is a general principle of the understanding of group dynamics as it relates to survival behaviors of societal organisms, at least for mammals and birds. That this principle or presumption is not correct in all cases, especially in humans, may have more to do with the environment and the speed of change within, rather than the actual ability of any individual to be wise in some way.
A lovely piece, the title caught my interest in more ways than the simple reason I like pipes.

The use of 'Pon' is due to two things: The first being that I like to write in an archaic manner. (To me it's fun) and the second is that Pon is only one syllable And both Haikus and Senryus (of which this one is) usually require a 5 syllable line followed by a 7 syllable line and the another 5 syllable line and the 'Pon' was a way to eliminate one of those syllables which makes it much easier to say more with less syllables. One of my poems "Smitten by Starlight" is written totally in middle age, archaic manner. I've only had two poems published out of 830 poems so far so I don't think I have to worry about publishers. I'm not read that much!! Thanks again ranscan. Appreciate your giving me a bit of your time.
