I'm always excited to learn about new forms - thanks for teaching me! I looked up senryu, and apparently it is usually used for present-tense themes, so I like how you stretched it to include the wishful future.

I'm also challenged by the word "should" - I originally thought it should be replaced with "would," but perhaps the way you have it is stronger and more definitive?

I was torn between would and should myself and like you, I thought should was a bit more poetic. Tomatoes, tomahtoes I suppose! Thanks for reading and commenting. I have two little canine friends - 8 months old Ahso Lapsah (think thats spelled right lol) and a 6 month Shitsui.
I could watch them play (and do sometimes) for hours.
