Tears That Fall Like Rain

Tears That Fall Like Rain

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

of tears

"
Tears of joy and happiness
Trace cross one’s cheek
When love fills one’s heart

But the other kind
Can sting and blind
When love  rends it apart

The other kind
is kin to naught
but sorrow and of pain

Gives only rise
to red-rimmed eyes
And tears that fall like rain

I love the second stanza.
I like the simplicity of the poem.
Great work.
