Point of View

Point of View

A Poem by David O Whalen (O Haolin in Celtic)
"

poem of right and wrong

"
 There is no right
There is no wrong
Tis all a matter
Of point of view

No heavenly might
No devil strong
Whatever you rather
Believe in …is up to you

A lie to one is
Truth to another
What’s seen is what
One wants to view

For a razor thin line exists
between love and hate
A paper thin partition t’ween
cold black and cobalt blue

What’s right…what’s fair
What’s here…what’s there
What’s love…what’s lust
What’s treachery…what’s trust

What it is, in finality
That shapes your reality
And for you is what
Makes all things true

Sadly tis…
not crimes of passion (or treason)
Nor kind acts of compassion (or reason)
But simply put and sadly true
…One’s own point of view…

A beautiful poem.
The last stanza is really nicely done.
An inspiring thought..nothing is wrong or right..whatever we do..society declares it either of them..but nobody can ever really know..
The sad ending to the poem brings out the unfair aspect of this reality..That no matter whatever good you do..somebody will always find it wrong..
A thought provocative poem.
