Off to the Land Where the Dragons Lie

Off to the Land Where the Dragons Lie

A Poem by David the writer

We're on our way
But before, there's much to say
I think I'll begin with why
Why we're venturing to the land where the dragons lie

I've seen my homeland
Everything seems so bland
But over the sea lays a new day
One that won't happen if I stay

I've always felt trapped in a bore
I'm an adventurer at my core
Always asking why
And now I'll have my questions answered by the land where the dragons lie

So now I ride to the docks to make the ship
Soon I'll be on a legendary trip
I'll return a hero
And I'll be remembered so

Don't worry about a thing
Soon my story will be what townsmen sing
The one all thought to die
But returned from the land where the dragons lie
