Chasing a Car

Chasing a Car

A Poem by David the writer

I'm a dog chasing a car
I don't know where I'm heading
All I know is I'm going far
And the car ride's not close to ending

What am I going to do when it stops
Don't ask me for an answer I don't know
I'm just licking my chops
Hoping it's a hell of a show

But I can't keep it up, eh?
No one's living forever
Ever since I was a young pup, that's what I'd say
I'll go wherever, and do whatever

Just living in the moment
Living life till my heart's content
