Skin and Bones

Skin and Bones

A Poem by Dandelion

Starving for perfection.
Hating her reflection.
Hiding in her room.
Sleeping until noon.
Avoiding all temptations,
nobody knows the game.
They don't ever know her shame.
No one hears her cries and
barely see through her lies.
She locks her door
and falls limp to the floor.
She wants to be skin and bones
because she is alone.

I hate when girls starve themselves. That's my mission in life, help girls realize how beautiful they really are. Great poem :)

This I know
Aw! What a sad piece! I know a lot of people go through this feeling. The media has really done a number on people's self conscious! I love how you express the drive for perfection in this poem.
