This writing is about how virginity is an artificial, made-up social construct of control. This is about double standards, women must be free love, lust, sleep with who they want. F**k s**t shaming.

Forgot what you know about sex.

Was it love?

Was it lust?

Only she knows best.

A long time ago, a standard imposed,

With no place in our culture today.

Your body can't be "taken" away.

It is yours to give freely at any time that you say.

Virginity can't be "lost", no matter the cause.

That status, a man-made scheme for control.

They say wearing white means your pure.

I say let these words silence those, 

Who call any daughter a w***e.

If she made the choice of your her own freedom and will,

Then let all their judgments carry them to their own made-up hell.

So if you choose to tie knot.

There's no shame of the past, or with whom you got off.

Back in high school, or the times you were drunk.

It can only be given, not taken away.
