The Return of Bad Bart

The Return of Bad Bart

Life begins over

The attempts man makes … to understand self and the world … is necessarily applied in relative terms … relevant to the times … and will never match the truth of the rocks … the heart … and the sky above. And seasonally … man comes to a point in life … when the old intelligence … comes to a pit stop. That's when the bard gets his nose rubbed in dung … in respect of the highest intelligence that exists. We call him a Bad Bard … because we are obliged to do that … for our own forward progression. But he was something else in his time.

I thought … Bad Bart the outlaw … was kind of a fun way to refer to the old Bards. But the times … bring a greater crust to the expression … and something resembling a … Bad Butt …. may be more obvious. It appears equally obvious …. that Bad Bard had to be put down in some way … to make room for a new perspective on issues. And the radical difference in view … has always involved some very innovative ideas … but none has had the force of a Soddom … in destroying the old with sulfur and brimstone … to usher in a new perception of things.

My own practices no doubt involved … a break from the old bard … but I've since undertaken a reconciliation with the old fella …, and found to my surprise that the … Saivite and Vasnavite writings … are a pretty accurate depiction of the human condition. I'm up-dating the work of the old bards … and any references to them as … Bad Bard … is in respect of the obsessions that exists in some areas. Perhaps a break is necessary … for the catharsis that is applied.

As we steer into a new century … we realize that … as the new bard … we are pressed to pen our new views … in much the same relative sense … that is going break beyond its usefulness. As the old bard in the future …. we are certainly going to appreciate better … the experience of Bad Bart … the outlaw. We realize then that …. good or bad … is function of time … lifestyle … and fashion … and that helps to moderate our own view of our profound roles as bards … in the context of cultivating social perspectives … and faith.

In a paradoxical situation … we realize that we have to make a commitment to one view … and hold fast to it. Change management is a process of creating a new vision … substitute for the old … and then to engage the details of the old vision … with regards to its continued validity. In realizing that we are dealing with minds in the process … we apply a special consideration … and undertake the work of change with … equal regard for the old and the new. Its an evolution … and dealing with it like washing vegetables under the tap … works less well … than the excitation of a new recipe.

Bad Bart turned outlaw … as a consequence of the social deprivation he experienced … and breaking things in that way … leaves them broken … and seldom re-constructs them for a new view. Neither does it help him … in his social condition. In stepping outside the law … the budding bard in these times … fights a sense of the old self … in effect fighting with his own genius for social concern and well being. There has to be a better way.

The f**k a*s attitude of our emerging bards … ignores the profound sense of what same sex affection is about. Its the love of the self for itself … expressed in a manner that … reveals the pure genius of the mind … and the true condition of man … as co-creator. It doesn't beg for attention … nor hide its will in the matter. It states it boldly … and strides towards proving itself … in a new perspective … never before encountered in society. It doesn't undertake it in self defense … nor bust its closet of ideals … cherished over the ages as dreams.

In Fitzgerald's Gatsby … Daisy … Gatsby's unforgettable love when he was poor … knocks down and runs over … her husband's mistress … Myrtle … in an accident. Myrtle … who didn't quite care how love visits with her … so long as it does. It was Gatsby's car … that was involved in the accident … and he picks up the blame for the incident … and eventually is shot and killed by Myrtle's husband … in a classic confusion of meaning and purpose … that largely ignored all facts of the issue. Its a depiction surely of the frail manner … in which we regard life.

There's something similar in the way … a new bard relates to the old … as much as a same sex relation … glorifies the sensation of … love as self love. And we undertake it … in a mixture of sex and love … that's borrowed from the ladies. In a bizarre twist of realization … its not unusual to find that … that is the position of the old bards … whose practices with regards to sex … were not yet brought into social decorum. Are we therefore … taking the position of the old bards as against the new?

The genius of the human condition … implores us to understand … the new bard's perspective on the journey we have already undertaken … and to seek its natural end … not go back to the start. That would put us in a quagmire of the … old and new … that would inevitably cause us to reject any and all change. If our purpose here … is to go back and refine the old … we couldn't have done a better job. Perhaps we do that … to understand the old better … so that we may better appreciate the new. The possibilities are many … and each man obviously knows his own mind on this.

The outlaw Bad Bart … attained his notoriety for his boldness … and the manner in which he seemed to put his life on the line. With a trail of Wells Fargo detectives on his trail … he demonstrated his own lack of volition for life. A new bard … undertakes his work today … with renewed hope and optimism for life … knowing that he'll have to turn outlaw in respect of change … sometime in the future. Its a valuable lesson … a man learns about the old and the new. But knowing that we started right in the first place … helps with how we manage the end.
