The Honey Bee

The Honey Bee

A Poem by Dayran
"

A reason to.

"

There's a place we go when free

When all manner of perceptions grow dewy.

The air is sweet, the sunshine honeyed

While the world dozes like confectionery.

The landscape gleams like jelly

Rivers strudel, carrying cane candy.

Mountains that rise as if rock syrup

Leafy mint from trees of chocolat'.

Houses built like layered croissants

The sky, a blue berry liquid twinkle.

The sun shines from a lemon drop

The moon, a cream colored lollipop.

The honey bees lay in swain

Their minds, entirely refrained.

No thought, nothing sought, plain glee

My, is it time for tea?

This strikes me as being a delightful bit of poetry--sweet, certainly.
Very fine work, Sri.

Such a tasty read. The ending amused me too! You have a happy go lucky kind of style when you write. Well done!

Mouth watering piece. This work makes me hungry! :D Honestly and truly love the use of confections in this...adds a bit of whimsy!
