Gargalesis

Gargalesis

A Poem by Dayran
"

What's the matter with her?

"

Caroline was always that way from birth,

The doctor said, she had karoliin syndrome.

Was afraid of spiders and beetles, as a child,

Which built a nervous condition, called sinewy.

It made her strong and verbose in speech,

Could out talk anything from here to the beach.

But if you touched Caroline in any way,

She'll lose it and become morose of prose,

Her speech thereafter, a mere pale of a ghost,

What's the matter with her? asked her husband,

Gargalesis, said a voice from heaven.

She'll get better with age, but not before

The storms, the battles and chaos abates.

So here we are, making do with what there is,

Life would never be the same,

Without a girl who's ticklish.
