Ephemeral

Ephemeral

A Poem by Dazhanay Wilson

The sky must exist,
It is our everything

Yet us humans decide to focus on each other,
and our unchangeable and trivial problems

Well I stare into the sky,
into the stars.

They shine only at night and rest during the day.

Just like me.

I aspire to be a star in the sky,
to shine bright and beautiful
until I burn out becoming a cloud of gases in the universe

- Some say that stars are fallen people of our past shining on us,
and if that lay true, our only purpose is to become a star in the night sky,
watching and being watched.
