Drink it Away

Drink it Away

A Poem by Hide From God

Staring at the bottom of my glass
It's never half full, nor half empty
It's always empty of this poison
This drink I consume to forget
Wash away my sorrows and misery
Try to remember the good times
Or make some up in my haze
I don't really remember why I started
Was it to forget your face?
Was it to erase the pain?
Well whatever it was,
It's an addiction now

Pour another drink, let me not feel
I wanna be numb from it all
