The Sign And Its Apple.

The Sign And Its Apple.

A Poem by Deathless_Sorrow

Subtle steps taken without honor.
Cloven thoughts abandoned such nobility when secrets shared light.

His searches last til early morn with no gifts for a curious mind.
Soft hands of trust caressed much too gently for such nothings.
Yet the gallant rose to peaks of heart and soul. Free as newborn foals.

Benighted he strode upon request. Dedicated to serve and progress.
The sign pushed him farther, asking him to feed upon the apple if only a little more than previously.
There it lay, such a truthful falsity, a breaking whole. Something that could not be,
...
Was.

Choices abound and time rechecked.
Such light could not, no, should not be mistaken.

Red filled thoughts. Black soon came to clean.
Purple flooded, whirling deep inside.
Lastly, to his surprise, a soft white.

Such light would only be hinted as a dull flash. Something maybe to gnaw and gnash.
Not with reprise, no, with opposite. Nobility and chast repented such thoughts.
Beginning with stealth and trickery ending with love and loyalty.
So shall it be.
