Pain and Ink

Pain and Ink

A Poem by Death's Poet

Her tears hit the page

Black smudges soaking in

She kept writing

As she wrote, her words disappeared

Ink mixed in pain

A diary in a sea of tears

Pages swimming in emotion

Floods of memories of him

Cover to cover

Her angst wrought in writing

She closed the book, fastened the latch

And into fire, she watched her life turn to ash

Death's Poet
This is my first attempt at a poem without repeating lines or rhyming. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Any honest opinions welcome!

I loved the images you created in those lines. Although the last line i think was too for me, relatively much emotional than other verses.
But still, i really liked the imagery.

Thank you so much!
I love it! the words flow like a relaxing stream that's been clouded for a nice creepy effect.

Thanks so much Pono
Writing is soothing, and it helps with raw emotions. I love the imagery and how you described, carefully choosing words. I thought it was a great read.

I am so glad you liked it! That means alot :)
I really love the emotion throughout this. I could see the ink smudging in my head, especially as it's a picture I know all too well.
