The boy who loved her

The boy who loved her

A Poem by Death's Poet

"Let me die!" She pleaded
"Let me go for God's sake"

"Shh...sleep tight my dear."
"I will hold you until you wake"

In his lap he held the girl flowing tears
Her death was chief concern among fears

The pain she felt had robbed her of her will
And in place it had created an urge to kill

She hated the promise she made not to take her own life
For not killing herself hurt much more than the knife

This hits really hard. It's really beautifully written, the story of grief really carries through.

Whoa! There is innocence and love that flows between the two souls yet a darkness runs through the poem... Sometimes the pain of being alive is more painful than the pain a cut of a knife will cause... Very well expressed... The last two lines says so much which many people can relate to their own life...
