And the bride wore black

And the bride wore black

A Poem by Death's Poet
"

This is about me. Today I had an unofficial private wedding before my large one, which I am forced to wear white at

"
And the bride wore black
To make the inside match the out

Walking toward her love
Her mind carried no doubt

Her lips painted onyx
Her hair falling soft to her neck

He stood at the alter smiling
Emotions a joyful nervous wreck

As the doors opened
Pearls shown through a dark smile

He stopped her in her tracks,
His smile entranced her a while

When finally she regained her strength
The black willowy figure did stride

Down to his arms
To be his dark bride
