Lost in a book

Lost in a book

A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter

A secret world awaits within these pages,

Where I can find a different me,

A  different place that I can call my own,

Where I can forget what I can't see.

Where I'm living out a story I've entered,

A journey of joy, a journey of pain,

A turning of pages, a ticking of clocks,

Where I can be free of the mundane.

Where I'm spinning a tale that unlocks,

Where I'm taken away from this life,

Where I'm walking into a new day,

Where I'm lost in a book for ages.
